Trucks ‘n’ Tracks 2009 took place over the weekend of 28th February - 1st March.
Building on the changes introduced in 2008, the show was the first to completely
change the emphasis to one where demonstrations, workshops, talks, and other
‘interactive’ elements would be the main focus.

The trade stands, competition, and of course the exhibitors, will still be important
aspects of the event, but with the dramatic increase of internet buying Trucks ‘n’
Tracks recognises the need to offer much more to continue attracting visitors.

So there was a packed timetable of demonstrations on a wide range of topics, to
provide that essential knowledge for building top class models. Hands-on workshops
to learn new skills, lectures and presentations, and even the best possible research
with veterans groups on hand to chat to modellers. Outside we had more than a
dozen military vehicles, with the War and Peace Show stealing the show with their
Panther and Panzer IV, and the IMPS also providing some excellent exhibits.

It all added up to a great weekend for all who attended, and even with a couple of
the regular traders missing the feedback we received was all very positive. We had
a number of suggestions for other demonstrations and ideas for next year, and we
are already working on offering even more at the 2010 show. So put the dates in
your diary now - 27th & 28th February - and we hope to see you there!
